Welcome to Guitar Tutor Gold Coast!

My name is Jason, and I am a professional musician and teacher based on the Gold Coast. I have many years’ playing experience and have performed in many settings and styles over 25 years. I have been working as a freelance performer, presenter and music producer as well as playing in a number of bands.

I believe that learning the guitar is most effective when the teaching is focused on what the student likes to play; as such I always like my lessons to be interesting, motivating and fun.

Lessons are a friendly, comfortable space in which the student can progress at a rate that suits them. An amount of theory teaching is optional, whilst different musical skills can be covered depending on the student’s interest (such as songwriting, reading music, playing by ear, etc.). I teach all ages, styles, and ability levels, each with the same goal: to help every student take joy in improving and making music.
